Hey, thanks for asking about the hike last weekend. It was really great. We started early in the morning to beat the heat. The trail was a bit muddy from the rain the night before, but nothing too crazy. There's this one lookout point about halfway up where you can see the entire valley. We stopped there for some pictures and a quick snack. The top was windy but totally worth it for the view. I'm thinking of going back next month when the leaves change color. You should come if you're free. Let me know what you think. We can grab lunch after at that new place downtown. Anyway, just wanted to share how it went. Talk later!
Oh, also, I finally started reading that book you recommended. It's really good so far. The writing style is very engaging. Hope you're doing well!

So I finally tried making that pasta dish you told me about. It came out surprisingly well. I was a little worried about the sauce because I've never made it from scratch before. I ended up adding a bit more garlic than the recipe called for, but that's usually a good thing. The whole house smelled amazing for hours. Even my picky eater liked it, which is always a win. I'll send you the link to the exact recipe I used. It was pretty easy to follow. Next time I might try adding some grilled chicken or maybe mushrooms. Thanks for the suggestion. Let me know if you have any other easy weeknight meals. I'm trying to cook more at home this month. Hope you guys are having a good week!
Also, did you ever finish fixing up that old bike? Would love to see it sometime. Maybe we can plan a ride together.
