Hey, thanks for your note the other day. I finally got around to trying that hiking trail you mentioned — the one with the overlook near the old mill. Honestly, it was even better than I expected. The weather was perfect, not too humid, and we had lunch right at the summit. There were wildflowers everywhere, mostly purple and yellow patches along the final stretch. I brought along a light jacket and some extra water, which really paid off because the last mile was steeper than the guide suggested. We saw a couple of deer maybe a hundred yards off the trail, just standing there watching us. I tried to get a photo but my phone battery was almost dead. Next time I'll pack a proper camera. Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks for the recommendation. I'm already planning to go back in a few weeks when the fall colors start showing. Let me know if you want to join. hjX7vrUaR7 It'd be fun to do it together and maybe grab food after.

Not sure if you remember me mentioning it last week, but I finally signed up for that pottery class downtown. It's a six-week intro to wheel throwing and I've done two sessions so far. Honestly, it's a lot harder than it looks on social media. My first bowl ended up looking more like an ashtray, but the instructor said that's pretty normal for beginners. The studio has this great smell of wet clay and the whole vibe is really relaxed. There are only eight people in the class so we get a ton of one-on-one time. The woman next to me made a mug that actually looked like a mug on her first try, which was both inspiring and mildly annoying. I'm hoping by week four I'll have at least one thing I can actually use at home. I'll send you a photo if anything turns out halfway decent. It's been nice to do something with my hands that doesn't involve a screen for a change.
