I just got back from that hiking trip we talked about and it was absolutely amazing. The weather held up perfectly the whole time and we saw some incredible views from the summit. I ended up taking way more photos than I expected and they actually turned out pretty good considering I was using my phone most of the time. We stopped at that little diner on the way back and I finally tried their famous pie and honestly it lived up to the hype. I sent you a couple of the best shots but I still have to go through the rest and sort them out. Let me know if you want me to forward you the full album once I get everything organized. I think you would really enjoy that trail especially the section along the creek. I also wanted to mention that the new camera lens I bought worked great for the landscape shots and I am really happy with how crisp everything turned out. The sunrise from the top was worth the early wake up call even though I almost slept through my alarm. I am already thinking about planning another trip for next month if you are interested.

I was looking through some old photos last night and found that one from the backyard barbecue last summer where everyone was laughing at the grill mishap. It reminded me we still need to plan another get together before the weather turns. I was thinking maybe we could try that new place downtown everyone keeps talking about and see if it is as good as the reviews claim. Let me know what you think because I am flexible on dates and can work around everyone else's schedule. Also I wanted to ask if you still have that book I lent you a few months ago because I might want to read it again before returning it to the library.
