Hey I finally got around to trying that gardening project you mentioned last month. I started with just a small raised bed in the back corner where the sunlight hits best. The soil needed quite a bit of amendment since it was mostly clay but I mixed in some compost and peat moss and it seems to be working out much better now. I planted tomatoes basil and some bell peppers. The seedlings are starting to sprout already which is exciting. I found that watering in the early morning works best rather than at night when the humidity lingers. I've been reading up on companion planting and apparently tomatoes and basil grow really well together. I'm thinking about adding some marigolds around the border to help with pests naturally. So far no major problems though I did spot a few aphids that I washed off with a gentle spray. sJGkWSyT9v1K1je It's been a nice way to unwind after work honestly. Let me know if you want to come by and see it sometime. I grabbed a few extra seed packets if you want to try some yourself.

I've been listening to that podcast series you recommended during my commute and I'm really hooked now. The episodes are around forty minutes each which is perfect for the drive to work. I finished the first season last week and started the second season yesterday. The way they break down complex topics into understandable segments is impressive. I especially liked the episode about urban planning and how city layouts affect community interactions. It made me think differently about the neighborhoods I walk through every day. The host has a very calming voice too which helps with morning anxiety. I found myself looking forward to the drive just to hear the next episode. I also started a new book you might like about the history of cartography. Maps have always fascinated me and this book dives deep into how ancient civilizations understood their world. The illustrations are beautiful. I'll lend it to you when I'm done.
