For the community garden layout, I think placing the raised beds along the southern fence will give the peppers and tomatoes the full sun they need. The soil test showed slightly acidic conditions, so a light application of lime should balance it out before planting. I already ordered the seeds and they should arrive by Thursday. We can start prepping the beds this weekend if the weather holds. The rosemary and lavender can go along the pathway to deter pests naturally. Let me know if you think we need more compost or if the irrigation setup looks sufficient for the drought plan.

For the book swap next month, I think we should cap each person at ten books so the selection stays diverse and nobody feels left out. The library confirmed the community room from 10 to 4 on Saturday, and they have six folding tables we can use. I can bring labels and markers for the genre signs. The children’s section should go near the front entrance so families can browse easily. We’ll need at least two volunteers for the checkout table and someone to help with setup at 9. I’ll send a reminder to the neighborhood group later this week.
