I finally finished reading that book you recommended. It took me a while to get into it but the second half really paid off. I loved how the author built the world out and the character development was surprisingly deep for a genre novel. I think I'm going to start the sequel next week once I clear my reading queue. I've got a couple of non-fiction titles I need to get through first for work. But I'm definitely hooked on the series now so I'll be ordering the third book soon. Have you read any of their newer stuff? I heard they came out with a spin-off set in the same universe but following a different character. Might be worth checking out if you enjoyed the original as much as I did. Anyway thanks for the recommendation I really appreciate it. Always good to expand my horizons a bit.
