Hey, I finally got around to trying that new hiking trail you mentioned last month. The drive was about an hour from my place, but the scenery was absolutely worth it. We started early around 7am and had the whole path to ourselves for the first mile. There was a wooden bridge over a creek about halfway that made for a great photo stop. Packed some sandwiches and apples, and sat on a fallen log for lunch. The elevation gain was moderate but steady—my legs felt it the next day. Next time I think I will bring better ankle support shoes. A couple of friendly dogs passed by with their owners. The weather held up nicely, no rain at all. I saw a hawk circling above around noon. Definitely planning to go back when the leaves start changing.
Also randomly ran into my old neighbor from Oak Street at the parking lot. We caught up for a few minutes. He moved last spring and works from home now. Small world honestly. Let me know if you want to try that trail together sometime on a weekend.

Hey, I just finished reading that novel you recommended last week — the one about the lighthouse keeper. I have to say the first few chapters felt slow but after page 80 I could not put it down. The descriptions of the coastline were so vivid I felt like I was there. There was a part about a storm that kept me up reading until almost 2am. I also started a new hobby recently — trying to bake sourdough from scratch. My first loaf was a bit flat but the second one actually had a decent crumb. My kitchen smelled amazing for two days. I started a little herb garden on my windowsill. The basil is growing faster than I expected. I also saw a really good documentary about coral reefs last night. The underwater footage was stunning. I might try snorkeling this summer if I get the chance. I finally started organizing my bookshelf qZmG3FGMN9 by color instead of author. It looks much more interesting now. If you have any other book recommendations send them my way. I have more reading time lately.
