Hey Mike, I finally got around to building that bookshelf we talked about. I went with a solid walnut finish and used those black iron pipe brackets you recommended. The whole project took about a weekend, mostly because I had to let the stain dry overnight. I'm really happy with how it turned out. The grain on the walnut is stunning. I still need to mount it to the wall studs properly so it doesn't tip over. Thanks again for the tips on the polyurethane coat. It made a huge difference in the final look. Anyway, we should grab a beer soon and maybe hit up the hardware store together. I've been thinking about starting a coffee table next. Let me know what your weekends look like. Cheers!

I finally watched the first season of that new sci-fi series everyone's talking about. Honestly, it took a couple of episodes to really get going, but by episode three I was completely hooked. The visual effects are incredible, and the storyline has so many twists. I'm still not sure I fully understand the main character's motivation, but the acting makes up for it. Have you seen it yet?
