Kit for Licensed Drivers: Courtesy Road Edition

About the hike on Saturday – I think we should start early to avoid the midday heat. The trailhead at Pine Ridge is about 45 minutes from town, so if we meet at 6:30 we can be on the trail by 7:15. I checked the weather and it should be clear but cool in the morning. Bring layers – the summit can be windy. We’ll take the long loop, which is about eight miles with moderate elevation gain. I packed extra snacks and plenty of water. Let me know if anyone wants to carpool from the coffee shop on Main Street. I will bring the trail maps and a first‑aid kit. We should plan for a lunch stop at the overlook around noon. Also, if you have trekking poles, they might help on the rocky sections. Let me know if you need directions to the trailhead. I’ll send out a group message the night before to confirm.

About the book club meeting on Thursday – I think we should start with the chapter on non‑verbal communication. Everyone seemed to enjoy that section the most. I can bring the discussion questions I drafted, and maybe we can share personal examples. For snacks, I’ll bring a vegetable platter with hummus. Sarah said she’d bring cheese and crackers. We’ll meet at my place at 7 pm, and I’ll send out directions to the house. The book’s appendix has some interesting exercises we could try if time allows. Also, let me know if anyone wants to borrow a copy of the book – I have an extra. Looking forward to a lively discussion. Please RSVP by Wednesday so I can plan seating. See you then.
