Hey, yeah I got your message about the hike tomorrow. I think the trail near the old mill is probably the best bet this time of year since the river keeps it shaded. I checked the weather and it looks like it will be mostly clear in the morning, maybe a bit of cloud cover rolling in around noon. I'll bring the cooler with some sandwiches and plenty of water. Let me know if you want to carpool, my truck can fit everyone comfortably. We should aim to hit the trailhead by 7 AM to avoid the afternoon heat. Don't forget to bring sunscreen and a hat. I'll also pack some extra snacks just in case anyone gets hungry. Looking forward to it! Let me know if anything changes on your end. I think the wildflowers should be in full bloom now, which will make the whole hike even more enjoyable. It should be a great day out.

I finally finished reorganizing the garage over the weekend and it feels like a totally different space. I found my old woodworking tools that I haven't touched in years. I'm thinking about building a small bookshelf for the living room. The wife wants something with a modern mid-century look. I saw a couple of plans online that seem straightforward enough. Maybe I'll finally put those tools back to work. It will be nice to have a dedicated spot for all our novels and photo albums. I'll need to pick up some decent quality plywood and maybe some new clamps. I might also try my hand at making some picture frames. Let me know if you have any experience with that sort of thing. It might be fun to collaborate on a project if you are free next weekend. We could make it a whole workshop thing and maybe tackle a few smaller builds too.
