I think the easiest fix was simply changing the order and leaving the complicated part until I had more energy for it.
At first I kept circling around the same issue and making it feel bigger than it really was.
Once I wrote a short list with only three things, the whole process became much calmer and I could actually see progress.
I also put my phone in another room for a while, which helped more than I want to admit.
The quiet gave me enough focus to finish what I had postponed all week.
