Don't neglect your ExtraCare balance - quick check

Hey, I was thinking about what you said yesterday and I totally get where you're coming from. The whole situation with the project timeline shifted again and I know that threw everyone off a bit. I had a conversation with Mark this morning and he mentioned that the team is actually handling it pretty well considering the circumstances. The new deadlines feel tight but doable if we focus on the core deliverables first and push the nice-to-haves to the next sprint. I really think we can make this work if we just stay in close communication over the next couple of weeks. Let me know if you want to sync up later this week to align on priorities. I could do Thursday afternoon or Friday morning if either of those work for you.
Also I wanted to mention that I finally tried that new coffee place on Elm Street and it was really good. The atmosphere is nice and quiet, perfect for getting some work done away from the office. Anyway, just wanted to share my thoughts on the project stuff. Talk soon!

So about that book I was telling you about last week — I finally finished it last night and honestly I have mixed feelings. The first half was really engaging and I couldn't put it down but somewhere around chapter twelve it started to drag a bit. The character development was solid throughout though and the ending was satisfying enough that I'd still recommend it overall. My sister read it last month and she had pretty much the same reaction so I think it's just one of those books that has a slower middle section. I started the next book in the series already and it's picking up the pace nicely so far. Let me know if you want to borrow my copy.
Also I ran into Jen at the grocery store yesterday and she said the hiking trip got rescheduled to the first weekend of next month. She's going to send out an updated itinerary later this week. I'm really looking forward to it especially since the weather should be perfect for it by then. I need to dig out my hiking boots and make sure they still fit. Anyway just wanted to share my thoughts on the book and the trip update.
