oh yeah I totally get it — I had the same thing happen when I was planning my trip out west. we were going back and forth about whether to drive or fly and honestly the rental car situation ended up deciding it for us. my cousin told me she booked hers through a third party site and then got stuck with a different company at the counter so I just went direct and it was fine. anyway we finally settled on driving because the scenery is supposed to be incredible that time of year. let me know what you end up doing because I'm curious if the rates drop closer to the date. I feel like every time I wait I either save big or get totally burned so it's a gamble.

yeah that makes sense I was just telling my neighbor the same thing about our garden this year. we tried planting tomatoes a bit later than usual and honestly they're doing way better than last spring when we put them in early and then got that surprise cold snap. she swears by adding eggshells to the soil but I haven't tried it yet. I've been meaning to ask if you've ever used that compost bin you got last summer because ours is just sitting empty and I feel like I'm missing something obvious. anyway if you want to swap cuttings I still have those lavender starters you were interested in just let me know when works.
