So we finally went ahead and painted the living room. I was so worried about picking the wrong shade, but we went with that warm sage green you suggested. It honestly makes the space feel so much bigger and brighter.
We just finished last night and spent the morning moving the couch back. My arms are so sore, but it was totally worth it. The whole process took us about three weekends because we kept getting distracted or changing our minds.
We also ended up replacing all the outlet covers and switch plates just to freshen things up. Oh, and we found this really great second-hand store nearby where we got a new coffee table for a steal. It just needs a little sanding and a fresh coat of paint, but the shape is exactly what I was looking for.
I sent you a picture of the color swatch a while back, right? It turned out exactly like that. You'll have to come over and see it soon.

I started learning how to play chess last week and I am completely hooked. It's so much more strategic than I ever realized. I lost maybe fifteen games online before I finally won one. My brain feels like it's working in a totally different way now.
I've been watching these beginner tutorials on YouTube and reading a couple of strategy books. There's this one opening called the Italian Game that I'm trying to get the hang of. It's fascinating how every single move has a consequence.
I tried teaching my roommate the basics, but I think I overwhelmed them with rules. Honestly, I'm not very good yet, but it's such a satisfying feeling when you finally spot a good move. I'm hoping maybe in a few months I'll be confident enough to join a casual club or something. It's a nice break from just scrolling through social media.
